Beijing Municipal Commission of Health and Family Planning Hold Symposiums on Law-Based Practice to Discuss Strategies for Self-Regulatory Capacity of Medical Institutions

In order to improve self-regulatory capacity of medical institutions and to deepen exchanges and cooperation between medical institutions and supervisory and law enforcement agencies, more than 30 medical institutions were organized to hold symposiums on law-based practice from October 30 to November 1. The meeting focused on the problems discovered during the on-the-spot inspection of some tertiary medical institutions in accordance with the law in this year, especially the outstanding problems found in the hospital stationed supervision and inspection. Beijing Union Medical College Hospital and Peking University First Hospital more than 30 medical institutions carried out comprehensive self-examinations according to the 2017 Medical Institutions Self-examination Guide (for Trial). At the same time, the institutions made comprehensive reviews and reporting at the symposium on the self-inspection. Various medical institutions conducted in-depth discussions on the issue of law-based practicing, which provided a new way of thinking for practicing in accordance with the law in the future and enhancing their self-regulatory capacity.
